Started in Rivertown with a young lady that I called Isabella Keetchi. She is based on one of the premade sims, but I lightened her skin tone and made her have blond hair and blue eyes. It'll be lots of fun to see how the genetics progress over the next ten generations! Isabella has the following traits: Schmoozer, Loves the Outdoors, Charismatic, Lucky and Family Oriented. I have decided to do a Matriarchy and also have a family trait of Shmoozer.
Started Isabella out in the Business career path. In order to get her first promotion she needed a good relationship with her boss. Thanks to her traits she was Best Friends with him by the second day, and had a good mood too but somehow still didn't get promoted. It turned out that he retired during her second day of work, wasting all of her efforts thus far!
After a couple of days Isabella got a new boss and quickly made friends with him. She got her promotion which is great because she really needed the extra money.
Tom Shallow looks decent enough. They are already great friends so I think I'll have them get married. Isabella could really use a partner around the house to help her make some money and I want to get her started on having kids soon too. I don't know how many tries it will take until we have a girl.
Isabella married Tom Shallow in a private ceremony. I didn't know any of his traits before marrying him, did find out that he was married to June Shallow but convinced him to get divorced. Had him move in and she still didn't have the option to propose but he did so I had him do it – but oops, she took his name! Not sure if that matters.
Turns out he is a pretty nasty guy. He has the Evil trait, as well as Neurotic and Inappropriate although I haven't seen that one come out yet. Isabella is pregnant and that's all that really matters. We'll see how I do with Tom – he may have another divorce in his future.
>One good thing about Tom is that he brought some cash into the household – about $5000 in all. I don't think that he was rich (which is against the rules) but I didn't know many of his traits so I maybe I made a mistake? Let's just call that $5000 wedding gifts. Anyway, I bought a couple more things like a shower and a crib for the baby, and also built a bedroom for the newlyweds. I thought they might be happier if the baby didn't wake both of them up crying.
It's a girl! Isabella and Tom Shallow had a baby girl named Hannah. I was given the option to choose both of her traits but the family trait Schmoozer was not avaible so I used the random option and got Grumpy and Loves the Outdoors. I've never played a Grumpy sim before, could be interesting.
Finally, a place to call home! I used up the last of the money from the wedding and built the family a house. So far it has two bedrooms, one bathroom and a large living room/kitchen/dining room combo. The family has several new things: a stove, countertops, even a dining table and chairs! Ah, luxury.
Two Legacy points earned this post: one for founder, and one for second generation being born.
